We are pleased to announce that Alaris The RF Technology Group (“Alaris” or “Alaris Group”) has strategically restructured to establish a new group headquarters in the UK, thereby signifying an important landmark in the Alaris Group's strategic evolution. This restructuring follows an investment by a UK-based company backed by RMB Corvest, a private equity arm of Rand Merchant Bank.
The decision to restructure was carefully considered and driven by a combination of global, regional, and long-term business considerations.
From the outset, the Alaris Group’s structural objective was clear: to partner with an investor who has strong confidence in our vision and team and to operate from a base that recognises the potential and value of its technology, supports the group’s growth strategy, and delivers value to its shareholders.
Whilst this was not an easy decision, the rationale behind it was driven by certain considerations, including:
- Economic Alignment and Investor Confidence
South Africa remains an important market, but global investors increasingly prioritise proximity to financial hubs and access to developed capital markets. The UK and Europe investors value technology companies and those operating predominantly in the Defence Sector at an increased value, which is a positive for the Alaris Group.
- Closer Proximity to Customers and Growth Opportunities
The Alaris Group has a growing customer base across Europe, The United Kingdom and North America and parts of Asia. Being headquartered in the UK brings us strategically closer to key clients, partners, and emerging opportunities.
- Strategic Business Resilience and Scalability
The relocation forms part of a broader restructuring initiative aimed at future-proofing the company. This includes strengthening governance, aligning with international best practices, and creating a more scalable platform for global expansion.
- Geopolitical and Regulatory Considerations
In recent years, evolving geopolitical dynamics and regional uncertainties have introduced increased complexity for companies operating out of South Africa.
Under guidance by many experts, and after more than two years of negotiations, structuring, applications and hard work, this project was completed on the 30 June 2025. With the new investment, the Alaris Group facilitated the exit of some founding and investing shareholders while the remaining shareholders, including all employee shareholders and our incumbent anchor investor, Tadvest, remains involved with their investment and support to the Alaris Group.
Whilst we will now be based in Lincoln, UK, we would like to emphasise that our roots remain firmly planted in South Africa, and our commitment to the region continues. The founding entity of the Alaris Group, Alaris Antennas based in Centurion, South Africa, together with all our sites worldwide will remain unaffected, providing the Alaris Group with a commercial advantage through history and knowledge. It is also important to note that nothing changes for any of the subsidiaries, our customers or suppliers – it is “business as usual” going forward.
On the wave of these new and exciting times, and as an organisation with a global footprint, it is important to highlight that we are committed to ensure that the Alaris Group is well positioned to serve our markets, protect our resilience, and create sustainable value to all our stakeholders.
